Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

FS 102 Food Protection Plans PCQI Certificate

Attendance via Zoom is required for FS 102. Students will meet online with the instructor for two hours for every meeting, except for Weeks 2 and 3, which will be three hours each. The certification requires a total of 20 contact hours. Class meeting days and times will be announced prior to the first week of class. Make-up sessions will be provided if students cannot attend a session due to time conflict. (Note: FS 102 is the only course in the Proficiency in Food Science program that requires attendance.)

The 2021 offering of FS 102 will meet on Tuesdays starting at 3 p.m. PT for weeks 2 and 3 (these are 3-hr sessions), and starting at 4 p.m. PT for weeks 4 through 9 (2-hr sessions).


Finally a certification course that goes well beyond the multi-day seminar. This 5 course, one year, certification program gives an in depth review of food science and food manufacturing industry in a timely and relevant manner. As a QA director for a national food sanitation firm, I felt this course was so beneficial that our firm is rolling it out to our plant sanitation managers and other corp. executives as well.
